Armenian Street George Town

The kids in bed nice and early after a big day’s cycling, Steve relaxing with a beer on a beanbag in our guesthouse, I headed out to catch the twilight over George Town. Penang’s capital is renowned for its heritage district’s architecture and street art, and it doesn’t disappoint. It’s a great place to see on foot.

We love to stay in the historic parts of the cities we visit, and George Town was as impressive as our trusty Lonely Planet said it would be. Have you visited? Where’s your favourite old town?

  1. Lisa your photo’s are beautiful and I simply loved dusk on Armenian Street and the string cats. A unique journey you have chosen here, almost out of this world I guess when you get home and look over what you have captured.

    • The strong cats we gorgeous. There were a few pieces of cat art, sponsored to raise awareness of the plight of homeless cats. The historic section of George Town had a definite charm. An amazing place for an evening stroll!

  2. We were in Georgetown back at the end of July. I loved all the street art and especially Armenian Street. Just found your blog and look forward to following your adventures!

Go on, say it. I know you want to.
